PACKAGING & RECYCLING
Improve packaging sustainability across our brands
Our manufacturing group has implemented several initiatives to reduce single-use plastic packaging. These include upsizing containers, introducing returnable containers in the manufacturing process, engaging third-party collectors for recovery and recycling, and reusing empty packaging containers as waste storage bins.
In our stores, we have introduced strawless drinks in Jollibee across Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, alongside with our ongoing "Skip the Straw" campaign in Philippine stores to promote the use of strawless drinks. We also prioritize the use of reusable wares for dine-in across all our stores in the Philippines.
WASTE REDUCTION
Reduce food loss and waste to landfill in the manufacturing process, and reduce food waste in stores.
We achieved a 42.8% total reduction in waste-generated ratio at the end of 2023 versus a 2020 baseline, in our Philippine manufacturing plants.
Across all our stores globally, we follow waste disposal protocols in compliance with local government regulations

Reduce energy consumption in the manufacturing process
We achieved a 28.2% reduction in energy use ratio versus a 2020 baseline as a result of the efficacy of our manufacturing initiatives in the Philippines.
