Demonstrating commitment to good corporate governance, the company’s Global Legal, Ethics, and Compliance group was recently named as one of the top teams in the General Counsel (GC) Philippines Powerlist 2024 by international legal publication The Legal 500. Its Chief Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Officer, Atty Valerie Amante, was also recognized in the “Women in Law” list by the prominent industry magazine Asian Legal Business.

The Legal 500 GC Powerlist—a publication curated to highlight the most influential and innovative general counsels in a given market—recognized the Jollibee Group’s Legal Team as among the best in-house legal teams in the country for 2024.
Atty. Amante was also among only six lawyers and the only Filipina included in Asian Legal Business’ “Women in Law” feature in 2024. The feature highlights exceptional legal professionals and their triumphs in Asia’s Legal sector and includes women from prominent firms such as Blackstone.
In 2023, Atty. Amante was also recognized as Southeast Asia’s In-House Lawyer of the Year by Asian Legal Business (ALB), one of the world’s leading sources of information for businesses and professionals.
