Our People Roadmap
We have identified four focus areas towards helping make peoples lives better. Learn more about the goals we have set and our updates for each.
EMPLOYEE WELFARE
Provide all employees with training and development that empowers them to achieve career milestones.
In 2023, we provided an average of 25.6 training hours per employee. Moreover, 100% our employees follow an Individual Development Plan in the Philippines and North America, where each employee goes through development intervention through Exposure, Experience, Environment, or Education. We also offer diverse training and learning opportunities to meet the specific needs of different functions and brands across our global organization.
Formulate and implement JFC's enterprise-wide D&I vision and strategy
We have established our D&I Vision Joy For All
and our commitment statements, as
seen here.
We have also formulated our high-level strategy and roadmap, which will be
implemented
according to our internal timelines.
Foster a zero-discrimination environment
In 2023, we maintained our commitment to providing training sessions on various topics such as Unconscious Bias, Inclusive Leadership, Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
Additionally, we introduced a primer on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression to our employees worldwide.
Over 10,000 store teams and employees received training on anti-sexual harassment in the workplace, in partnership with the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment and the Employers Confederation of the Philippines.
Provide equal opportunities across diverse sets of people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, and vulnerability.
Within the Jollibee Group, women represent 57% of senior management positions, as well as 54% of our entire workforce globally.
In 2021, we had the distinction of being one of just three companies in the Philippines recognized by Forbes as one of the World's Top Female-Friendly Companies.
Provide employment opportunities to vulnerable sectors
In the Philippines, Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Burger King, and Red Ribbon collaborated with local government units in 2020 to offer employment opportunities to qualified elderly and persons with disabilities (PWD). In 2023, we collaborated with Manila LGU to hire 28 senior citizens and 17 PWDs as customer relations staff across various branches of Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, and Burger King.
Since the inception of the ACE program by the Jollibee Group Foundation in 2005, 2,754 underprivileged youth have received educational scholarships, enabling them to pursue employment within or outside the company.
FARMERS LIVELIHOOD
Provide farmers with access to training and education.
Since 2008, 4,766 small holder farmers who are part of the Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) delivering directly to Jollibee Group, as well as other farmers trained by graduates of the Agro-entrepreneurship for Inclusive Value Chains, have been trained to actively participate in agricultural value chains.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Provide food relief and support to communities in need.
Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020 up to 2023, the FoodAID program by the Jollibee Group Foundation has successfully distributed over 12.82 million meals and other food products.
GOOD GOVERNANCE
Uphold good governance, respect human rights, and exercise ethical practices across the organization
To promote awareness and adherence to our JFC Code of Business Ethics (COBE), we employ a range of tools. New employees gain access to the COBE policy during their onboarding process, ensuring they are familiar with the company’s ethical standards from the start. For existing employees, continuous learning and reinforcement of the COBE policy are carried out through various channels.
Our commitment to sustainable, responsible, and transparent business practices was recently acknowledged by the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards. This recognition highlights our efforts in promoting good corporate governance and furthering our dedication to responsible business practices.
