Red Ribbon celebrates the opening of its first store in San Antonio, Texas—the brand’s 40th location in the United States. Led by General Manager Martin Aguilar, the team is now ready to serve San Antonians with its sweet and savory baked goods.
TEXAS, USA. June 27, 2023 – Painting the town red, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Inc. opened its first store in San Antonio, Texas on May 27. The milestone store, which is located at 8403 Highway 151, within the Shops at Westpointe retail complex, also marks the international bakery brand’s third location in the state of Texas and its 40th store in the U.S. This milestone opening is part of Jollibee Group’s growth plans in North America.
“We are thrilled to open our doors in such a strategic location. The new Red Ribbon store enjoys proximity to Westover Marketplace, which is a dynamic regional shopping hub that serves the city’s West Side area. It also offers convenient access to Highway 151 and Loop 410, two of the city’s major thoroughfares,” said Agnes Briones, Business Unit Head, Red Ribbon Bakeshop – US.
San Antonians can now treat themselves to Red Ribbon’s best-selling items, including the Mango Supreme Cake, made with the Philippines’ best mangoes; Ube Overload Cake, with real Philippine ube halaya (purple yam); and Yema Caramel Cake, made of a soft, moist white chiffon cake filled and covered with yema (Philippine custard) caramel filling and finished with toasted cashew nuts.
Red Ribbon is also bringing two new cakes to its San Antonio location: Ube Flan Cake and Rocky Road Cake.
Aside from its delicious and beautifully crafted cakes, customers can also enjoy these sweet and savory pastries that are perfect for everyday snacking occasions: Butter Mamon, features the perfect combination of moist chiffon and 100% butter for a melt-in-your-mouth treat, available in Ube, Mocha, and Cheesy flavors; Cheesy Ensaimada, offers soft, moist bread topped with butter, sugar, and cheesy deliciousness for the perfect sweet and savory flavor combination; and Chicken Empanada, a savory pastry that is generously filled with tender chicken and a unique blend of spices deep-fried to a crisp golden brown.
“For many of our fans, holidays, family gatherings, or other special occasions are not complete without a special treat from Red Ribbon,” Briones said. “From our iconic Mango Supreme Cake to our Butter Mamon pastries – and many other delicious goodies in between – we are happy to introduce these unique bakery offerings to San Antonians who want to treat themselves and their families to something delightfully different that they won’t find anywhere else.”
