Awarded during LLDA’s 55th Anniversary last October, the citation highlights the Jollibee Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship, consistent with its Joy for Tomorrow Sustainability Agenda.
“The Laguna Lake is a vital resource for many communities, and we are honored to contribute to its preservation through this meaningful partnership with LLDA. Employees of the Jollibee Group participate in monthly, sometimes bi-monthly, clean-up drives along waterways connected to Laguna Lake, covering Metro Manila, Rizal, and Laguna. The Jollibee Group also provides meals for volunteers to enjoy together after the clean-up drives, helping foster camaraderie and a sense of community among volunteers from different organizations.
The Jollibee Group also collaborates with waste processing partners to responsibly manage collected plastic waste, aligning with the Company’s compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Law and its sustainability goals.
“By actively engaging our employees in clean-up drives and ensuring proper waste management through partnerships with processors, we are taking concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint and help build a sustainable future,” Miñana added.
