Jollibee Group’s Tim Ho Wan Continues China Expansion with 19th Store Opening
Record-breaking store location. Tim Ho Wan Wuxi, the 19th store in Mainland China, broke the brand’s average opening-day sales record when it opened in April 2023.
MANILA, Philippines. 31 July 2024 – Tim Ho Wan, the flagship Chinese cuisine brand of the Jollibee Group, has continued to gather momentum in China—a key Asian market that has been the focus of the brand’s bold international expansion campaign—following the successful launch of its 19th store in the country in 2023.
Leveraging its growing appeal in China, Tim Ho Wan’s 19th location was in Wuxi, a city with a population of 7.49 million people in the southern Juangsu province in eastern China. The Wuxi branch marked an early milestone by registering record-breaking sales on its opening day.
Before that, Tim Ho Wan also opened a store in Beijing, China’s capital with more than 22 million residents, in January 2023.

Tucking another milestone under its belt, Tim Ho Wan expanded its menu offering with 16 new products in 2023. From this, the Signature 2-in-1 Char Siu Platter, Signature Crispy Chicken, and the Hong Kong Style Wonton Noodles in Soup quickly became bestsellers, helping broaden the brand’s appeal, satisfy demands, and offer new dishes for customers to explore.

Tim Ho Wan also received many recognitions in China, such as the Golden Censer Prize award, and was featured in several food lists, including 2023 Shanghai Restaurant Top 100 Awards-Annual Must Eat List by the popular Where to Eat in Shanghai; Meituan Delivery’s Must Order List; and Radio Shanghai’s Selective Restaurant of Delicious Travel.
