BUZZING IN GROWTH. Jollibee in Da Nang, Vietnam is packed with local Vietnamese customers awaiting their turn to order. With 158 stores in the country as of Q1 2023, the Jollibee Group intends to make Jollibee the #1 quick-service restaurant chain in Vietnam.
VIETNAM. July 3, 2023 – With 158 stores in Vietnam as of Q1 2023, the Jollibee Group’s flagship brand Jollibee is setting its sights on becoming among the country’s top Quick Service Restaurants.
“With Vietnam’s continued economic development and growing population, we see huge growth prospects for Jollibee in the country,” shared Ernesto Tanmantiong, Chief Executive Officer of Jollibee Group. “We intend to maximize Vietnam’s huge growth opportunity of the rapidly growing QSR industry in Vietnam, focusing our investment in key cities and developing areas.”
Year-on-year, Jollibee Vietnam continued to post strong double-digit systemwide and same-store sales growth, with dine-in exceeding pre-pandemic levels and off-premise channels growing by high double digits even as customers return to stores.
Jollibee Vietnam opened seven (7) new stores in 2022 and four (4) more in Q1 2023 and did not permanently close stores during the peak of the health crisis in the country.
To support the company’s growth plans, Jollibee established its own commissary in Vietnam, which has the capacity to support 400 stores.
Now the 3rd biggest quick-service restaurant brand in Vietnam, Jollibee caters to a 100% local Vietnamese customer base. Its bestselling products–-the extra crispy, juicy, and tasty Chickenjoy; the sweet, savory, and mildly spicy Sweet Chili Chicken; and sweet-style Jolly Spaghetti–have won the palate of the Vietnamese people and have become a staple for Vietnamese families in the country.
“We thank our Vietnamese customers for supporting Jollibee throughout our 18 years in the country,” continued Tanmantiong. “Our continued success in Vietnam and in many other parts of the world shows that Jollibee can indeed win over the hearts of the international customer base, and we will continue expanding our presence both in Vietnam and around the globe.”
Jollibee now operates in 17 countries with over 1,500 stores. Jollibee’s continuous expansion in Vietnam forms part of the Jollibee Group’s vision to become one of the top five restaurant companies in the world. To learn more about Jollibee Group, visit www.jollibeegroup.com.
